How much more, folks? How many times does an abused baby need to present himself to Haringey Council before they act? It’s not like they weren’t warned. Indeed, consider former Haringey social worker, Miss Kemal, who was fired by Haringey last year for daring to raise the the fact that her employers weren’t doing their jobs.

Now, George Meehan, “Leader” of Haringey Council thinks “sorry” is going to cut it. Quite frankly, I don’t think I’ve heard anything more pathetic in my life. Grow up George and resign. You don’t know what you’re doing.

But this shower of incompetence at the top doesn’t stop with George…

So while we’re at it, John Suddaby, head of Haringey Council’s legal department also needs reminding we’re not running a local government gravy train/retirement home of top pay and benefits so he can do nil supervision and management; and when questioned, simply respond, “it’s of concern”.

What these people don’t get is where not interested in their school-boy apologies or the “lessons you’re learning”. DO YOUR DAMN JOBS.

George Meehan said there had been failure “by all the agencies involved”.

If you do not have the capabilities to manage those agencies, i.e. to do your damn job, George, you need to resign. If the heads of those agencies cannot deliver, i.e. John Suddaby as head of legal, he needs to resign too. Geddit? It’s called “responsibility”.

Liberals Turning A Blind Eye

I seems like only yesterday I was getting lectured by liberals about British Muslim women’s “freedom” to choose.

In fact, just the other day, I was told that harping on about “women’s issues” was a bit like black people revisiting Selma, Alabama.

Hello, wake up call! How many more women and little girls do these “liberals” want to sell down the river with cultural relativism?

If the police and social workers had only listened to 12-year-old Ruksana when she told them her father had threatened to send her to Pakistan to be married against her will, then she says life might have been very different.

But they did not take her seriously, she says. She ended up in a foreign country and married to a violent partner who raped her and made her pregnant, aged 15.

Even the BBC cannot resist watering down the truth. Hello! “Violent partner?” 15 year old girls don’t have “partners”. Try, “violent stranger” or “owner”.

And Rowan Bloody Williams wants more sharia? Here’s a thought: how about we stop pandering to people’s “cultures” and give everyone in this country the benefit of the rule of law and equality?

And how about waking up to the fact that people don’t accede to subjugation: they are forced.

And I am sick unto death of the honour killings, the forced marriages and the veil.

Don’t feel too bad, Tammy: The British feminist movement hasn’t bothered to lift a finger for Muslim women on British soil either; they’re quite happy to turn a blind eye to domestic violence, rape and murder. Hey, it’s their culture.

Here we go again. More death threats over cartoons.

But the argument that really makes me laugh? Wait for it: The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) wants the UN and EU to “criminalise blasphmey“.

Ahhh, about that: – Who gets to decide what’s blasphemous, you? The believers themselves acting as arbiters get to vet any and all criticism against the followers of a particular religion and the religion itself? Don’t think so, love.

I’ve got a better solution for those upset by cartoons: don’t buy the paper. Simple as that.

Should The Italians Apologise For Pontius Pilate?

It’s not enough that London Mayor Ken Livingstone has apologised; and it’s not enough for Tony Blair to say “sorry”. Nope, Hackney Councillor, Patrick Vernon, thinks “we all should” apologise for the slave trade abolished 200 years ago.

But what is truly abhorrent is that slavery continues to go on right under our noses. Every day, women are traded and trafficked as sex slaves IN THIS COUNTRY but apparently present-day slavery of women sits somewhere lower on the totem pole that slavery that ended 200 years ago.

If Patrick REALLY wants to help victims of slavery he should stop living in and blaming the past, talking about the “legacy” of past wrongs from generations ago, and start encouraging personal responsibility and assist today’s slaves. Get on with it Patrick.
